Summary

This award-winning Belgian start-up produces a unique type of temporary structures and coverings based on a compact, sustainable and modular patented scissor design. They can be used as event structures (domes, stages) or curved structures (temporary stands), and can be custom-designed to suit the user’s needs thanks to an optimization algorithm. The start-up is looking for partners in order to commercialise the product outside Belgium, mainly for the rental business.

Description

This award-winning Belgian start-up is originally a university spin-off. It produces a unique type of temporary structures and coverings that are pre-constructed and instantly deployable, thereby significantly reducing transport, assembly, installation costs, and time for your event, with amazing aesthetic appeal. These structures are easy to set up, compact during transport and have a unique patented scissor design. They are multi-functional: they can be used as tents, stage covering, entrance arches, screens, brand activation and so much more. The Belgian startup is also committed on the path towards more sustainability: the design of their product is future-proof as it can be adapted in time because it is modular and replaceable (every piece of the product can be replaced). All the pieces can be re-used across almost all of the structures because they didn’t conceive a product, but rather a kit adaptable to create different shapes. They manufacture everything in Belgium. Almost no other supplier of temporary structures does this anymore. Their main suppliers are Belgian companies and the recycled aluminum comes from Belgium. The Belgian start-up also has partners to upscale the PES branded (and non-personalized) membranes of its customers to make poufs, wallets, backpacks, and so on.
