Summary

A small consortium formed by private hospitals, research centers, universities and patient associations is looking for a coordinating partner (preferably a university or research group, not Spanish) to lead the proposal to be submitted to the Call Staying healthy (HORIZON-HLTH-2022-STAYHLTH-01- two stages). The project is based on the search for a tool to improve the diagnosis and shorten the times of a group of so-called rare diseases.

Description

The project search for the application of AI to the field of health, in particular to the diagnosis of this type of diseases. The main goal of this project to provide the prototype tool to diagnose a group of rare diseases. The AI-based tool for the diagnosis of RES is based on science - omics and databases.

The technology is already developed. The project will refine the diagnostic tool and validated it at laboratory level. The clinical partners will provide information on the group of diseases. The patient associations will guide and support the validation phase of the tool (as end users).

The ultimate goal of the project is to put into value the work developed during the last decade by these partners and transform this knowledge into an enabling technology that the health professionals can used in their day to day work.
All partners have extensive experience in both national and European projects and in some cases they have previously worked together.

The partner sought shall has the capacity to coordinate the project (expertise in coordinating EU projects, human resources, and administrative and legal resources). Additionally, the partner sought shall coordinate the clinical part of the project providing natural history of the group of diseases and routine medical tests.
The ideal would be a partner from outside Spain and preferably a research center or a hospital.

The deadline of the Call is the 1st February 2022 17:00:00 Brussels time for the first stage. And the 6th September 2022 17:00:00 Brussels time for the second stage.

EOIs will be open until the 15th of December 2021.

The Project duration will be 36 months.

The Call Staying healthy (Two stage- 2022) (HORIZON-HLTH-2022-STAYHLTH-01-two-stage) has a budget € 50M and estimated that will funded 10 projects, so the proposal will request a budget of € 6M.
